What field of the studies this scholarship supports?
Students in all the areas of science, medicine, engineering, art, law
and social sciences are equally eligible for the scholarship provided
that the applicants meet the criteria and provide the required
documents.
Where do the studies take place?
All of the schooling must take place at an accredited institution.
How long is this support going to last?
This scholarship is awarded for one-quarter and is renewable to a
maximum of three times for an individual. The renewal is not automatic
and students must apply on annual basis and no preference is given to
the previous recepients of HSF
How much is the amount of the support?
That has yet to be determined.
How Many Students Receive The Scholarship Each Year?
This year will see 1 scholarship awarded for January 2005.
Who Administers The Fund?
The fund is adminstered by the HSF's board of directors.
How Does One Apply?
Eligible students may apply for HSF Scholarship by sending their
application to:

Applicants must fill out the application form (please
email us for the application form here) and enclose the following documents and mail it
to the above address. The required documents are:
- Application form **NOTE**
- A short statement to justify the applicant's eligibility
(one page maximum) The statement must be written by the
applicants.
- A document that shows the applicant is currently enrolled in
a college or university, a Senior highschool student
must provide proof of admission into a four-year program in a
credited college or university. This requirement for high
school seniors should be provided before the fund is
transferred to the recipient account.
- A record that shows good academic standing of the applicants. copies
of the performance report, issued by academic institutions
each semester could be sufficient.
- A copy of the first page of the applicant's birth certificate.
- The applicant must provide appropriate document to show
financial status of the family. Usually a copy of the past years tax
return fulfills this requirement.
- Each candidates must write an essay (500-700 words) on a subject of
their own choosing. The topic must first be emailed to the HSF for
approval. The essays will then be judged by a panel of HSF members.
